Dishing Out a Tea Party Baby Shower

I was super excited when I was called by Chef’s Garden Catering to be a part of a baby shower tea party!  And, when I was told there would be shades of pink involved oh my yes!  I knew I wanted to keep it pretty in pink by using different hues of the color without going over the top pink.

I went straight to the Fostoria pink water goblets as they are one of my favorites!  I mixed those with blush goblets and a pink tumbler.  The Cristal champagne flutes balanced out the pinks nicely.

For the tea cups, I chose florals in different shades of primarily pinks and golds with a few other colors mixed in.  Several Royal Albert tea cups other bone china tea cups set the table.  These tea cups would make me want to put my pinky up and give a high five for tea time!

White dinner plates trimmed in gold and silver were used as the chargers.  Using dinner plates for chargers is a great idea if you are using luncheon plates to eat off of.  The luncheon plates used had shades of pink, lavender, and gold.  So dainty and pretty!

Oh Those Mason Jars And All Their Uses!

If you're in the South it's hard to escape the mason jars!  These babies aren't just used for canning in these parts!  They are popping up at all types of events.

Mason jars are being used for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, and other events.  They are most typically used for drinking glasses and for flowers.  Sweet tea, lemonade, and signature cocktails are great ice cold in a mason jar.  Bouquets of colorful flowers really stand out when put in mason jars and make great centerpieces.  But, why just stop there?  There are plenty of other uses for the mason jar!

Gold flatware really pops when it is in a mason jar and used on a dinner or dessert table.  I love how my vintage flatware looks in a mason jar.  It's a great look for a rustic wedding with a vintage feel.

Who doesn't like dessert?  Mason jars are great for desserts!  Serve your guests ice cream, parfait, or a chocolate mousse in a mason jar.  Doughnuts are super fun at a party and everyone seems to love them!.  Fill mason jars with milk, add a straw, and top with a doughnut.  Your guests will love this!

If your having kids at your event they need a space of their own and activities to keep them entertained.  Fill mason jars with crayons, colored pencils, cards, or dollar store games and puzzles.  The kids will be happy you thought of them!

Whether you love them or think they should be just for jams n jellies there is just no escaping the mason jar.  I kind of love them and have many in my rental inventory!
