Wedding at Forest Pond Lodge

Blue and white china has been a popular color choice of china this weddIng season. It’s such a classic look and I can certainly understand why it’s requested often.

For this November wedding at Forest Pond Lodge in Southeast Georgia, the bride chose blue and white china in different shades of blues. She was unsure at first about goblet color, but when I showed her how great blues and ambers look together she quickly made her decision.

The bride used lamps without shades to light up the venue. The light from the lamps flickered off the goblets in the most dazzling way! I’ve never seen my goblets look so beautiful! It was such a unique method of lighting, and I just loved it!

Enjoy looking at the photos from this gorgeous wedding! I’m so thankful to Tamara Gibson Photography for sharing these with me. It’s always super exciting to see my rentals in action!

Table for Two...

Washing Oaks State Park and Gardens in Palm Coast, Florida made for the most incredible location for a styled shoot!  The theme for the shoot was a romantic table for two.  The huge trees, arbor, and a water feature set the backdrop for the sweetheart table set up.

Several wedding vendors from around the Jacksonville and Amelia Island area all came together to create this shoot.  Events and More Decor by Carla brought the oh so romantic table and settee.  Fern and Curl Florists provided the most perfect centerpiece for the table.  Yours truly, Dish It Out brought out my blue and white vintage china, light blue goblets, silver chargers, and silver flatware.  The blues and silver looked incredible together!  I’m loving how blue and silver look on a dark wood table.

If you’re looking for some outdoor wedding and sweetheart table inspiration then take a look through the photos from this shoot.

Vintage Romance for the Modern Bride

Coastal Occasions in Jacksonville Beach, Florida was the perfect venue for this styled shoot.  It is an outdoor venue with overhead pergola, lights, and a blank enough setting to really be able to style your wedding according to your theme.  The theme for this styled shoot was; Vintage Romance for the Modern Day Bride.  We wanted to show brides that vintage can be used in a more modern way, while still keeping the dreamy romantic feel of it.

The florals were a beautiful white with lots of greenery added to the sweetheatable and the mantle.  Pops of color were used for the Invitations, cake, rug, and the awesome green velvet sofa. Blush and softer pastel colors were used for the table decor to add to the romantic feel of the shoot.

If you’re unsure how to pull of the vintage theme, take a look at the pictures from this shoot for lots of great inspiration.

Springing Up Weddings

We spring forward tonight!  Yay!  I love daylight savings time and I’m hopeful Florida will soon be on daylight savings time permanently.  As we move forward ahead one hour we also move forward to spring and that means spring wedding season.  Dish It Out is ready to dish out some spring wedding table settings!

When I think of spring I think of blossoms, blooms, and all the beautiful colors.  The pinks, greens, yellows, and lilacs.  You can incorporate all of these lovely colors into your table settings.  Mismatched floral plates with spring colors would set a beautiful spring wedding table.  Pair the plates with goblets that compliment the colors.  Or bring in the colors of spring with just some goblets and use more subtle plates.  Milk glass goblets would also be lovely and unique for a spring wedding.  I like silver or gold flatware and chargers for spring and even a mix of metals is great!  There’s no rule that you have to use one or the other.  Have fun with your table settings!  That’s what mismatched is all about.

Take a look at some of the spring table settings I’ve set up and decide which you like the best.  I’m pretty partial to them all!  Bring on spring!
